Don’t let heavy snow pile up and damage your roof or house frame!
Depending on moisture content and compaction, 12 inches of snow may add up to 25 pounds to each square foot of your roof deck. Current Idaho building codes require structures that will support that weight, but if the snow adds up to much more, your home may experience roofing or structural problems.
ShipShape Commercial Services offers residential roofing snow removal. See below for more information.
Roof Snow Removal Considerations:
- Recommended for snow accumulations of 18+ inches or more.
- Typically, snow does not need to be removed from all of your roof, just the drifted or compacted areas.
- $250 Minimum charge which covers removal of snow 12-24 inches deep on up to 1,000 square feet of a typical 6:12 or 8:12 roof.
- Snow drifts/accumulations exceeding 24+ inches, and/or more than 1,000 sq. ft. roof will incur more than the minimum charge. (Total price will be disclosed before any work is agreed to & initiated.)
- Snow is removed to a remaining depth of about 4-6 inches: that mitigates any damage being done to shingles/roofing and also maintains an insulating layer of snow for your home.
- All roof snow removal is done from ground/ladder level. We will not stand on your roof at any time. If snow is not reachable using extensions, we will not be able to remove that and that area will not be included in the price.
- Ice/ice dam and rain gutter ice removal is NOT included in this service. We suggest contacting a qualified ice dam removal service to address ice damming or frozen gutter issues.
- Dropped snow will NOT be removed from premises, although any snow dropped onto walkways or driveways will be moved to another part of the yard.
- Payment due at time of service. Cash or Credit card accepted.

You were very careful with my roof. Removed drifts under eaves that was about 3 feet deep. Thank you.
